Roeshana Moore-Evans is the Executive Director of the Harvard & the Legacy of Slavery (H&LS) initiative, a key leadership position responsible for the execution of reparative efforts that address Harvard’s ties to slavery. Additionally, she oversees all administrative and financial activities, including budgeting, space planning, human resources, and communications. She serves as a trusted advisor to the Vice Provost of Special Projects and works closely with her to develop and advance H&LS’s strategic initiatives. Moore-Evans is also the president-elect of the Massachusetts Public Health Association (MPHA), a nonprofit organization that promotes a healthy Massachusetts through advocacy, community organizing, and coalition building. Prior to joining Harvard, she served as the Senior Advisor and Chief of Staff to Dr. Nikhil Wagle, the Director of Count Me In, a patient-partnered research initiative within the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. She has extensive experience in finance, human resources, strategic planning, and leading diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. A native Bostonian, Moore-Evans has been instrumental in leading conversations that deepen the understanding of structural racism and facilitating activities that dismantle it.
 
Moore-Evans holds a B.S. and an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
