The University Accessibility Committee (UAC) is a senior leadership level, cross-School committee that is dedicated to identifying and implementing strategies, approaches, and initiatives to improve accessibility for persons with disabilities in Harvard’s programs and activities. The UAC meets quarterly to review proposals brought forward by the working groups that focus on digital accessibility; the student experience; wayfinding and physical accessibility; and accessibility for staff and faculty.

Proposals are given consideration based on whether they increase accessibility for one or more groups of persons with disabilities in the Harvard community; promote principles of universal design; promote Harvard’s goal of inclusive excellence; and align with Harvard’s academic mission and priorities.

UAC members assist in the implementation and advancement of the approved proposals at their respective Schools/units.
